Krone is Europe’s second largest manufacturer of truck trailers and semi-trailers today. At the Werlte plant in the Emsland region with an area of 180,000 m², 650 Krone employees produce 19,000 vehicle units per year. The product line includes semi-trailers, linkage systems, trailers and motor vehicle bodies. Since April 2000 Krone produces approximately 3000 cooler units per year at the plant in Denmark (headquarters of Bernard Krone A/S), making the company also Europe’s second largest manufacturer of refrigerated semi-trailers.
