Zadar Airport
Zadar Airport, registered for operating services in the air traffic, was founded in 1968. It is located in Zemunik Donji, 8 km far for Zadar.
The airport is an important factor in connecting the regions of North Dalmatia and Lika with the other parts of Croatia and the world.
Zadar Airport is completely reconstructed, from the passenger terminal building, Air tower control, runways and maneuver areas to the other facilities important for the full function of the airport.
As a part of the tourist infrastructure the airport is a very important factor in reception of tourists for the following areas gravitating to it:
- the coastal part of the North Dalmatia including the area of Zadar and Biograd
- Zadar archipelago including the island of Pag
- a part of the Šibenik-Knin Country
- Plitvice-lakes
Concerning that fact Zadar Airport is of great importance for the tourist facilities located in the area of Zadar, Biograd, Vodice, Šibenik, Primošten and the island of Pag.
